⁉️How it works ?

How the process works:

1. Tree Ownership: Orne.io owns a tree within its forest portfolio, which is valued at a certain amount, let's say USD 100.

2. Tokenization: Orne.io decides to tokenize this tree by creating a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) representing ownership of the tree. To do this, Orne.io locks a predetermined percentage of $ORNE tokens (the native token of the Orne.io ecosystem) and mints an NFT associated with the tree's data. For example, if the locking rate is set at 50% of the tree's value and the price of $ORNE tokens is USD 0.1, then 500 $ORNE tokens (50% of USD 100 / USD 0.1) will be locked.

3. NFT Sale: Orne.io sells the NFT representing the tree to an investor. This investor now owns the NFT and therefore has ownership rights to the tree it represents.

4. Maturity and Harvest: Over time, the tree grows and matures. After a certain period, typically several years, the tree is ready for harvest.

5. Profit Distribution: At harvest time, the NFT holder can claim the profits generated by the tree's harvest. The profits are determined by the sale price of the harvested wood.

6. NFT Redemption: Depending on the current value of $ORNE tokens at the time of harvest, the NFT holder has different options for redeeming their profits: a. If the tree is sold for USD 800 and $ORNE is now valued at USD 1, the owner of the NFT can burn their token and reclaim the equivalent value of the tree, which is 800 $ORNE. With 500 $ORNE locked on this NFT, Orne.io must purchase and add 800 - 500 = 300 $ORNE to compensate the NFT owner for the tree's value. b. If the tree is sold for USD 800 and $ORNE is now valued at USD 2, the owner of the NFT can burn their token and reclaim the equivalent value of the tree, which is 400 $ORNE. With 500 $ORNE locked on this NFT, Orne.io retrieves 500 - 400 = 100 $ORNE to allocate toward funding new trees. c. If the tree is sold for USD 800 and $ORNE is now valued at USD 1.6, the owner of the NFT can burn their token and reclaim the entire value of the tree, amounting to 500 $ORNE. With 500 $ORNE locked on this NFT, the owner receives the full sum, and Orne.io does not need to intervene.

This process ensures that NFT holders receive the full value of their investment at harvest time, regardless of fluctuations in the value of $ORNE tokens. Additionally, it allows investors to participate in the wood market and earn returns from sustainable forestry investments in a transparent and efficient manner.
